There’s still time to fish the Gaula

A nice 11-pounder taken and returned by the NFC's Daniel Stephan this week on the lower NFC ‘E’ beats of the Gaula. Daniel, who was fishing with a modest-lengthed 12 1/2 ft rod, had only started fishing 5 mins before. (Isn't that called lucky, Daniel?! Well done.)

The grilse have arrived on the Gaula, but there’s some very big fish running this superb Norwegian river as well. Good summer levels. The very best salmon fly water you can imagine. Just perfect really, so perhaps it’s time for this:

A message from the Norwegian Flyfishers’ Club:

If you want to join us between now and the end of the season on midnight of the 31st. of August: We have a few rods vacant in our rotation from the 8th – 11th August and at the end of the season from the 29th – 31st August, and on our Bogen Sondre Beat from the 8th to the 26th August. There are some spaces vacant on our Upper Gaula Beat as well. Please contact us best by email or by phone 0047-91393498 to get a quote.
