Varzuga echo

I hope this sequence of pics taken in May conveys something of a half hour or so on the Varzuga river. The shots were taken on the opposite bank to Roxtons’ Lower Varzuga camp. At one point ‘our’ helicopter took off. I was fishing with Jess James and Locha. Jess took the photos (thanks Jess).

The hooked fish splashes at the surface

... then runs hard and long before shedding the hook

... “Too tough on it?”. What's that noise? Chopper rotor blades starting

There she goes – a delivery to Ponoi? Now why did I lose that fish again?
