Join Henry on Norway’s Gaula

During the forthcoming 2012 season (June 1 to August 31) I am organising parties of UK anglers to fish Manfred Raguse’s world famous NFC Gaula fishery. Sublime fly-water, famous pools, epic battles with big fish (a 46.5-pounder was taken on fly in 2011 on the NFC beats) the Gaula has it all. And with a flight from a UK airport to Trondheim then a hire car picked up from the 24-hour desk at that airport and a scenic one hour drive to the NFC’s HQ at Støren, it couldn’t be simpler.

It is always a big undertaking to fish somewhere new but this is a trip you will not regret! According to your wishes, I can help with all aspects of your trip including flights, hire car and NFC accommodation arrangements. Once out there I will help with logistics small and large. Above all I’ll do all I can to help you enjoy a productive and enjoyable week.

There is currently good (Norwegian Flyfishers Club) availability on the following Gaula weeks:
1st to 10th of June (spring fishing), week 29 – 15th to 22nd of July (prime time), week 31 – 29th to 5th of August, and from week 33 (12th of August) to the season end on Aug 31.

Contact me via my email, henry.giles01@yahoo.com or on 07961 921 726 for fishing and accommodation packages and prices to start your hunt to catch that first-ever Norwegian salmon, or fish of a lifetime! (There is also the opportunity to fish with salmon expert Andy Murray during Week 24 (June 10-17), see my previous post for details.)

Guiding/instruction/casting:

I am undertaking training with AAPGAI from March 2012 and as a veteran of three successful Gaula trips in the past three years will do all I can to put you onto fish. I shall be out there to help from August 19-31 – and at other selected weeks from late June during the three-month season.
